FVSA Member Agreement and Association Liability Release

FVSA, (Flathead Valley Soaring Association), is a local chapter of USHPA, (United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association). USHPA membership is required and by submitting my USHPA Application / Renewal, I agree to maintain USHPA membership in good standing when flying and or participating in FVSA activities and events. (Non Rated Students may Join and Fly FVSA sites if and only if under the direct supervision of their instructors and if all site protocols are followed. Non rated students must have Temp 30 USHPA Memberships at a minimum). However, ​All Instructors Must be on the FVSA Verified School List to instruct at Primary FVSA sites. By signing below and/ or submitting, I also reaffirm I have read in full and agree to the USHPA Association Liability Release that extends to FVSA as a local chapter.

AFFIRMATION OF UNITED STATES HANG GLIDING AND PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION RELEASE, WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF APPLICABILITY TO FVSA CHAPTER

Flight Under FAA Regulation "Part 103 is based on the assumption that any individual who elects to fly an ultralight vehicle has assessed the dangers involved and assumes personal responsibility for his/her safety". FAA AC-103-7 In consideration of being allowed to use the Sites/ facilities and participate in the sport of hang gliding or paragliding and other activities (collectively the “Activities”) associated with the FVSA Association (FVSA) (the "USHPA Chapter"), I hereby reaffirm the United Hang Gliding And Paragliding Association (“USHPA”) Release, Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement (the USHPA Release”) previously signed by me. The definitions of the USHPA Release are hereby incorporated by reference as though fully set forth in this Affirmation. I specifically acknowledge that the following persons, including their owners, officers, directors, managers, agents, spouses, employees, officials (elected or otherwise), members, independent contractors, sub-contractors, lessors and lessees, are also RELEASED PARTIES as that term is used in the USHPA Release: Flathead Valley Soaring Association (FVSA), and each of its members, employees, agents, volunteers, officers, directors, and managers; and all flying Site or event locations associated landowners and each of its members, employees, agents, volunteers, officers, directors, and managers. This specification of certain RELEASED PARTIES is not meant to be an all-inclusive list or to limit in any way the scope of persons included within the definition of RELEASED PARTIES in the USHPA Release. Rather, it is made to give assurance to those listed here that they are included within the scope of the definition of RELEASED PARTIES in the USHPA Release. By signing below and/ or submitting, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ And AGREE to BOTH SECTIONS ABOVE IN FULL ( Member Agreement & Association Liability Release and AFFIRMATION OF UNITED STATES HANG GLIDING AND PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION RELEASE, WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT). I also reaffirm the USHPA Association Liability Release that extends to FVSA as a local chapter. This affirmation in no way limits, restricts or narrows the terms or scope of the USHPA Release previously signed by me.

FVSA Association Liability Release Waiver and Assumption Of Risk Agreement

(Non-Rated Students may join and fly FVSA sites if and only if under the direct supervision of their instructors and if all site protocols are  followed and are a USHPA member in good standing, Temp 30 day or Annual Pilot or above level.)  

By signing below and/ or submitting, I also reaffirm I have read in full and agree to the USHPA Association Liability  Release (https:www.ushpa.org/page/download.aspx) that extends to FVSA  as a local chapter.

Rather, it is made to give assurance to those listed here that they are included within  the scope of the definition of RELEASED PARTIES in the USHPA Release.
